I graduated with honors (my honor thesis was a film documentary about handicapped children in rural Virginia) from Washington and Lee University ('01) with a B.A. in Journalism and with honors from Savannah College of Art and Design ('10) with a M.F.A. in Writing (my graduate thesis was an oral history book about modern teens, their stressors, and coping mechanisms).
I have written for multiple genres including personal essay, journalism, and literary journalism and formats including e-newsletters, blogging, marketing and promotional materials, catalog, radio, television and website content. I have taught high school English, adult writing workshops and private clients, as well been instrumental in re-branding companies, web re-design and creating marketing plans.
